Welcome to my website.

My name is Kathleen Louvegny. Photography is, and has always been, my passion. I am pursuing it, although I was first encouraged to train in another field when it was time for me to go to university. I am from Europe, and it is true that it can be hard to make a living as a photographer there. So I learned how to be a teacher and graduated, but always kept thinking that photography really was what I wanted to do.

So when the opportunity arose, I enrolled in photography classes at Laney College in Oakland. Then I wanted to practice and learn even more, so I interned at Jade Studio Productions. Simultaneously, I assisted Philippe and Sojin Lee, Joey Chandler, Emily Payne and Michael Mustacchi as a second shooter in several weddings and portrait sessions. Thanks to all of you, you have taught me a lot!

I now shoot my own portrait sessions and assignments.

I love everything about photography: the smiles, the looks, the laughs, the love, the light, the little details, the big picture... Beauty is everywhere, you just have to capture it!
